Running to Friendship

Friendship Without Borders Half Marathon, where the Turkish-Greek border is crossed by running, will be held on 4 June. The race starts and finishes in front of the Selimiye Mosque in Edirne.

Turkish-Greek-Bulgarian Friendship Group Association, the organiser of the event, announces the aim of the project as “running to friendship with friends to remind the friendship to the world”. The race offers the participants a unique experience, that is crossing the borders by running and without a passport. The runners leave Turkey through Pazarkule Border Gate, and make a turn from Kastanies in Greece, heading back to Edirne where the race starts.

Registration to the Friendship Without Borders Half Marathon is possible until 2 June via the website at www.friendshiphalfmarathon.org. Depar Timing is the official provider for the timing services of the event.
