Adana To Celebrate Tenth Anniversary
International Adana Half Marathon will stage its tenth edition on 5 January. Entries are accepted until Thursday, 2 January.
Organised since 2011, the event will once again host the distance runners in the first major road race of the year. Where African athletes have been dominating for the past seven editions, men’s race record is held by Kenya’s Barselius Kipyego with 1:00:46, standing from 2016, and the women’s record was set by his compatriot Diana Kipyokei in 2018 with a time of 1:08:42.
Registration to the event is processed at adanakurtulusmaratonu.adana.bel.tr. Top ten athletes in the half marathon will receive prize money while the winners will pocket 20 thousand Turkish Liras. Master athletes who top the podium will also leave Adana with cash awards. The event includes a 4km Public Run as well.
