How is a race measurement being planned by ChampionChip/MYLaps?
The bib number intervals inside the entry lists that has been pre-designated by the organisers are being matched with the raw chip database that has been created by our side. With respect to that, matching of one bib number for every chip becomes finalised. For the succession, the participants lists should be forwarded to us in various popular file formats, such as Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft Word documents.
The participants should be very careful about receiving the chips and following the instructions about the usage of the chips that has been granted to them. The chips might be collected or kept according to the decisions of the organisers. This information will be announced by the race organisers in general. -
How is a ChampionChip/MYLaps chip worn?
The detection zone for the RFID chips supplied by the ChampionChip/MYLaps is 70 cm from the surface in general. The loop antennas are embedded to the mats that have been put on the ground. Because of this, the chips have to be located on decent locations during the races. For instance, the chips need to be put right in the middle of the puncture with its devoted clip for cycling events.
Preferably, In Athletics, Triathlon, Inline Skating, Kayak and Alpine Discipline Cross Country events, the chips will either be safely put on the shoe ties or around the ankle with the usage of waterproof strip bands. With the help of the holes on the sides of ChampionChip/MYLaps chips, those can easily be attached with the shoe ties. The plastic stabilisers that will be distributed by the organisers in some of the events like Inline Skating is very important as they keep the chips as secure and intact and preserves them from falling down on the ground during the races. -
Do – Don’t List
- The Chips might be effected from high magnetic shocks. Please keep the chips out of the locations that are close to some high magnetic field imposing home devices such as microvawes.
- Please take your chips out of your shoes before washing them. If the chips are released from the shoe ties inside the washing machine it can severely damage the device as it can cling on some mechanical parts.
- If you cannot finish the race, please hand over your chips to the officials.
- Please try to keep the necessary positions for chip detection during the races when passing over the points that has been supplied with the systems. Otherwise, the chips will not be detected as you might be disqualified for the races.
- Please do not put the chips inside your shoes or socks. Use the strap bands or get it along your shoe ties. -
Can the ChampionChip/MYLaps chips be used with other electronic devices?

Because of the fact that those devices do use different phases of signals, they do not interfere and create problems to each other generally. But, if you want to be sure about the usage of your such equipments, please do not hesitate to contact us.
