New Date in Edirne

Due to rescheduling of the nationwide university exams, Friendship Without Borders Half Marathon is postponed to 21 October.

Balkan Countries Friendship Association, the organizer of the event, was forced to change its original date of 1 July after the University Entrance Exams were moved to the same weekend as a result of the early Presidential and Parliamentary Elections in Turkey. Whilst the date is announced as 21 October 2018, a shorter race is included in the programme. The new race is intended to be 10km but the exact distance will only be decided during the official measurement of the course at the end of June.

The overall male and female winners of the Friendship Without Borders Half Marathon this year will pocket 2,000 Turkish Liras each. There is also prize money for the master athletes in a total of 18 age categories. Top three in each age group in the 10km are offered medals and trophies.

Registration for the event is processed via the website at www.friendshiphalfmarathon.org.
