Time To Swim From One Continent To Another

29th Samsung Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swimming Race will be held on Sunday, 23 July. The event, which Depar Timing provides several services with 18 team members, received a record number of entries this year.

Turkish Olympic Committee’s traditional “Sports For All” organisation expects 2300 swimmers on Sunday morning. Being staged every year since 1989, the race saw 1546 starters out of 2169 registrants last year. The limited quota of 1100 foreign swimmers was filled within 16 hours in January by 728 male and 372 female swimmers from 49 countries.

The 6.5 km Samsung Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swimming Race starts from Kanlıca on the Asian side of Istanbul, finishes in Kuruçeşme Cemil Topuzlu Park on the European side. Depar Timing will provide the results to three LED screens as well as to the official broadcaster NTV Sports. Full results will be published on the website http://bogazici.olimpiyatkomitesi.org. The swimmers will be able to collect their certificates from Depar Timing stands immediately after the race.
