Swimming Federation Elects New President

Erkan Yalçın is elected as the President at the Extraordinary Congress of the Turkish Swimming Federation. Yalçın succeeds Aydın Karakuzu who resigned in February after doping allegations in Turkish media.

Erkan Yalçın, who has filled the role of Acting President since the resignation of Karakuzu, stood for election against Barış Bul. Yalçın received 108 votes from the 204 voting delegates while Bul received 96.

The new Board of the Turkish Swimming Federation consists of the following members: Ali Güven, Haluk Önem, Afife Beşik, Salih Başparmak, Fatih Sezer, Dilek Mosturoğlu, Selçuk Demirel, Yaşar Ayhan, Kerim Altıay, İrfan Özdemir, Abdulsamet Korkmaz, Özgür Bayazıtlı, Murat Tunçbilek, Ramazan Aslantaş.
